El Shenawy: "I Thank Moroccan Fans for Their Surprising Support, Morocco's AFCON Organization is Excellent"

Mohamed El Shenawy, goalkeeper for the Egyptian national team, has lauded Morocco's organization of the Africa Cup of Nations. He extended his gratitude to the fans who attended to support the Pharaohs in the first and second rounds of the group stage.

Following Egypt's 1-0 victory over South Africa, El Shenawy stated in the post-match press conference: "The crowd surprised us in the first match with 28,000 spectators, and today 40,000 fans attended. I thank the Moroccan fans for their continuous support; we all love this wonderful atmosphere."

He added: "Honestly, the organization in Morocco is excellent; everything is available to us, from training pitches to match stadiums, and everything is beyond excellent. Once again, I thank the Moroccan public who supported us today."

El Shenawy was awarded the "Man of the Match" prize for his performance against South Africa, a game that secured his country's qualification for the Africa Cup of Nations round of 16.
