Mali's Doumbia Ahead of Morocco Clash: 'No Pressure, We'll Play Our Style for Victory'

Mahamadou Doumbia, a player for the Malian national team, spoke about the challenge of facing Morocco on Friday (21:00 GMT +1) in the second round of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations group stage.

"We are mentally prepared, and we know very well that the task will not be easy," Doumbia stated in press remarks. "Morocco is a great footballing nation, but we have prepared ourselves mentally with the coach. We talk a lot among ourselves and will try to work and get things right."

Regarding the desire for victory against Morocco, he added: "Everyone wants to win. We want to win, and Morocco wants the same thing. We will try to work hard and give our best."

Addressing the draw in the first-round match against Zambia, he continued: "We have discussed it among ourselves; that is in the past now. The match is against Morocco, we are focused on that, and we will try to work on that basis."

On the topic of fan pressure, Doumbia commented: "There is no pressure. We will try to play our game; we know how to play football, and we will play it. We will try to win."
