L'Equipe: Mbappé Arrives in Rabat to Attend Morocco vs. Mali Match at Hakimi's Invitation
French newspaper L'Equipe has reported that Kylian Mbappé, the Real Madrid player and captain of the French national team, arrived in Rabat on Thursday afternoon with his family. He is set to attend the match between the Moroccan national team and their Malian counterparts, scheduled for Friday (21:00 GMT+1) as part of the second round of the Africa Cup of Nations group stage, at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat.
According to the same source, Mbappé could not decline the invitation from his close friend Achraf Hakimi, nor the appeal of a country he knows well and maintains special connections with. The French newspaper confirmed that Mbappé arrived accompanied by his parents and younger brother Ethan, and they will all be present for the Morocco-Mali clash in the Africa Cup of Nations.
The source further added that the "Les Bleus" top scorer might take advantage of his stay in Morocco to visit players from the Moroccan national team, notably Achraf Hakimi, who is nearing his return to competition after recovering from an injury.
L'Equipe also indicated that Mbappé is expected to extend his stay in Morocco until Monday, December 29, which marks the resumption of Real Madrid's training sessions. He may also use this break to follow other Africa Cup of Nations matches, driven by his immense passion for football.
