Man Arrested in Agadir for Suspected Black Market Sale of Africa Cup Tickets
Police in Agadir, in coordination with the General Directorate of National Territorial Surveillance (DGST), arrested a 37-year-old man this Friday morning. He is suspected of involvement in the illegal resale of Africa Cup of Nations football match tickets.
The suspect's arrest followed the National Security's cyber vigilance services detecting social media posts offering match tickets for sale illegally. Technical investigations and field inquiries revealed the suspect's identity, leading to his arrest near a major commercial complex in Agadir.
During the arrest and search, a number of tickets for the African championship matches were found in the suspect's possession, along with a sum of money believed to be proceeds from the criminal activity.
The suspect has been placed under judicial investigation, supervised by the competent public prosecutor's office, to uncover all circumstances of the case and determine the criminal acts attributed to him.
