Regragui: 'I Don't Know How to Speak Diplomatically, Even If I Sometimes Need To'

Walid Regragui, head coach of the Moroccan national team, affirmed that the "Atlas Lions" are approaching their match against Mali with great humility. He emphasized that the mutual respect between the two teams necessitates caution and focus, ahead of their second-round group stage encounter in the Africa Cup of Nations.

During the press conference, Regragui stated: "We are approaching the match with great humility, and this is not diplomatic language. I compare Morocco to Mali in terms of managing emotions, because there are talents in Mali just as there are in Morocco."

The national coach continued: "The Mali national team deserved to win against Zambia, but they conceded an equalizer at the end. That's why I respect this team, and when they experience a surge, they will become dangerous, and I hope that doesn't happen against us."

The "Atlas Lions" coach added: "Mali has always had great players, and they always have special motivation when facing Morocco."

Regragui concluded his remarks in his characteristically frank style, stating: "I don't know how to speak diplomatically, and even though I sometimes need to use it, I'm not good at it," signaling his desire to speak realistically and clearly ahead of this strong encounter.
