Regragui: "Aguerd's Injury is Just Rumors, Saïss Will Miss Mali Match"

Walid Regragui, coach of the Moroccan national team, confirmed that reports circulating about defender Nayef Aguerd's injury are baseless. He emphasized that the player is training normally and is not suffering from any health issues, ahead of their match against Mali in the second round of the Africa Cup of Nations group stage.

Speaking at the pre-match press conference, Regragui stated: “Who told you about Aguerd's injury? He is training normally and is not facing any problems,” emphatically denying all rumors about the Moroccan defender's potential absence.

The “Atlas Lions” coach continued: “Saïss suffered a muscle injury, while Ighaman is progressing with his rehabilitation program. As for Hakimi, we are preparing him, and he is now in good health. We will make the best decision for him,” clarifying the status of injured players in the camp.

Regragui further added: “Regarding Saïss, things are going well. As for Aguerd, there are only rumors, and we are here to provide the correct information. Except for Saïss, who will not be available tomorrow, everyone else is doing well.”
