
Regragui: "Morocco Edition Will Be the Toughest in AFCON History"
National coach Walid Regragui affirmed that the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations, hosted by the Kingdom of Morocco, will be the most challenging in the competition's history, given the readiness of all participating teams and the anticipated intensity of the competition.
Speaking at the pre-match press conference, Regragui stated, "This edition will be the toughest in the history of the Africa Cup of Nations. All teams are present and at their highest levels of readiness, and the conditions are ideal for everyone."
The national team coach added that any team crowned champion in this edition would have earned the most deserving title in the tournament's history, explaining, "The team that wins the title will have deserved it thoroughly, because all factors for success are available, from magnificent stadiums to luxurious hotels and high-level organization."
Regragui concluded by emphasizing the importance of fan support, considering it a crucial element for the success of both the national team and the tournament in general. He said, "What we need as a host country is for the fans to feel responsible and provide the necessary support, because public backing constitutes an additional strength for the national team."
