Regragui: "The Fans Are Our Only Advantage Over Other Teams; They Must Make Us Feel We Are Hosting AFCON"

Walid Regragui, head coach of the Moroccan national team, emphasized that fan support is the Atlas Lions' most significant weapon during their participation in the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON). He believes that the true difference-maker in such competitions is created by the fans inside the stadium.

Speaking at the press conference ahead of their match against Mali, Regragui stated, "The advantage we possess is the fans, and that's why I say it's very important, because in everything else, we are equal with all other teams."

The national coach continued, "There are excellent pitches, superb hotels, and good training grounds, and some teams have also been accompanied by their fans." He noted that the competition conditions are available to everyone without exception.

The Atlas Lions' coach added, "Our fans must be better and better. We are hosting the tournament on our soil, and we must feel that and experience a fiery atmosphere inside the stadium."

Regragui concluded his remarks by asserting that a strong fan presence is a crucial factor in motivating players to deliver their best performances in the upcoming matches.
