The Cameroonian national team kicked off their Africa Cup of Nations "Morocco 2025" campaign with a 1-0 victory over Gabon. The match took place on Wednesday evening at the Grand Stadium of Agadir, as part of the first round of the group stage.
Karl Edward scored the solitary goal early in the sixth minute of the encounter, which was witnessed by over 35,000 spectators.
This result places Cameroon at the top of Group F with three points, followed by Ivory Coast with an identical tally. Gabon and Mozambique currently have no points.
