Ivory Coast Defeats Mozambique 1-0 in AFCON Opener

The Ivory Coast national team secured a 1-0 victory over Mozambique in their opening match of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations group stage. The game was held at the Grand Stade de Marrakech.
The first half concluded in a goalless draw (0-0). However, Amad Diallo broke the deadlock for Ivory Coast, scoring the only goal of the match in the 49th minute of the second half.
With this result, Ivory Coast now tops Group F with three points, while Mozambique sits at the bottom of the group with no points.
