Pépé After Ivory Coast Exclusion: "I Thank Everyone Who Supported Me After Days of Harassment and Racism"

Ivorian international Nicolas Pépé, a player for the Ivory Coast national team, expressed his gratitude to everyone who supported him following his exclusion from "The Elephants" squad called up for the Africa Cup of Nations "Morocco 2025".
Pépé wrote a post on his official Instagram account, stating: "This is football, and this is life. I thank La Liga and Villarreal CF, and everyone who supported me after these recent days of harassment and racism. Good luck to my teammates."
Pépé was excluded from the Ivory Coast squad despite being a key player for his Spanish club Villarreal, reportedly due to his recent media appearance where he "mocked" the Moroccan national team.
