Mali Coach: 'We Need a Point Against Morocco, Confident of Winning Final Match'
Tom Saintfiet, the head coach of the Mali national team, expressed his profound respect for the Moroccan national team ahead of their upcoming clash on Friday. He emphasized that the encounter would not be easy, given the strength of the "Atlas Lions" and the ambitions both teams bring to the competition.
In his media statements, the Mali coach said: "Morocco is a very good team. We saw how excellently they defended against Comoros, but that is not our style of play."
He added: "We know we need points against Morocco, and if we secure a point, we will then need to win our final match, which I am confident we will achieve."
The Moroccan national team is set to face Mali today, Friday, December 26, at 9 PM local time, at Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat. This fixture is part of Matchday 2 of the group stage in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
