Sichone (Zambia Coach): "Comoros Showed Character Despite Morocco Defeat, We Face a Team Looking to Score"

Moses Sichone, head coach of the Zambian national team, expressed relative satisfaction with the 1-1 draw against Mali in Monday's match at the Mohammed V Complex in Casablanca, acknowledging that it was not an easy encounter against a strong and organized opponent.

During the post-match press conference, Sichone stated: "It's never easy to play the first game. Mali scored early because we gifted them the goal. Our team faced some difficulties, but I must commend the players for their composure and for ensuring we left the first half without conceding further goals."

Sichone also defended his players against social media criticism, calling for an end to the attacks on them: "I want the Facebook coaches to stop attacking our players and start showing them respect."

Speaking about the upcoming match against Comoros, Sichone said: "Morocco beat them 2-0, but they showed character. We will face a team that will be looking to score, so we expect an open and exciting game."
