Zambia Coach Unveils AFCON Squad, Leicester's Patson Daka Among Key Players
Zambia national team coach, Moses Sichone, has announced his final 28-player squad for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, which will be held in Morocco.
Sichone reduced an initial provisional squad of 55 players as Zambia prepares for the final phase of their training camp in Murcia, Spain, from December 11 to 17.
The squad includes striker Jack Leinh Kalichi, who made his debut for the Zambian national team, Joseph Phiri of Italian club Cagliari, and Patson Daka, who plays for English side Leicester City. New additions from the local league also feature, such as Elijah Mandandi (Zanaco), Mathews Banda (Nkana), and Given Kalusa (FC Muza).
