Zambia national team coach, Musa Sishone, has announced a preliminary 55-player squad for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations, scheduled to take place in Morocco between December 21, 2025, and January 18, 2026.The Zambian squad includes Manchester City defender Jadiel Katongo and Leicester City forward Patson Daka. Sishone has also provided an opportunity for several players who impressed at the U17 World Cup, such as Jonathan Kalimina, Abel Nyirongo, and Christo Chitambala.This extensive list will later be trimmed to 28 players in accordance with CAF regulations, before a final 23-player squad is determined. There is also a possibility of adding extra players if the organizing committee deems it necessary.Zambia has been drawn into Group A for the tournament, alongside hosts Morocco, Mali, and Comoros.
