Diaz: 'I Feel at Home, Will Give My All to Make Fans Proud'
Morocco international Brahim Diaz expressed his immense joy following the 2-0 victory over Comoros in the opening match of the Africa Cup of Nations group stage, stating that he will work hard to make the fans proud.
Speaking at the post-match press conference, Diaz said: "All matches are difficult, and the opponent played with a deep defense. I feel we need to put in a lot of effort and create many chances. We must continue playing this way, keep improving, and of course, we need to create opportunities to score goals."
He continued: "This victory helps a lot, because when you play, win, and get three points, it also helps with the fans, because they were amazing today. We need them a lot. We all have to keep working because I think it's very important to be united. If we want to win, we must be together."
Diaz added: "It's great to play here in front of all these fans, and this will help us a lot in the next match. Getting three points is always important, and as I said, we will continue to improve because we want to reach our best level."
He concluded: "I feel at home here. I feel that people truly love me, and I love them very much. I want to give everything I have on the field to make them proud, because I believe that without them, I wouldn't be here, I wouldn't be playing football. Everything is for the fans, and for our people as well. I am very happy to be here, and I will continue to give my all for the national team."
