Arsenal Quickly Reclaims Premier League Top Spot, Sending Manchester City to Second

Arsenal returned to the top of the Premier League standings thanks to a 1-0 away victory over Everton on Saturday. This came after Manchester City had briefly claimed the top spot with a 3-0 win over West Ham United, as part of Matchday 17 of the Premier League.

Manchester City had increased their points tally to 37, one point ahead of Arsenal before the latter's match began. However, this lead lasted only a few hours, as Arsenal striker Viktor Gyokeres scored the only goal of the game from a penalty in the 27th minute.

This win elevated Arsenal's total to 39 points, placing them two points clear of Manchester City. Everton, meanwhile, dropped to tenth position with 24 points, trailing Brighton on goal difference.
