Kimmich Downplays Arsenal: 'We Played Football Against PSG'
Bayern Munich suffered their first defeat of the season, losing 3-1 to Arsenal in the Champions League, which brought an end to their 18-match unbeaten run.
Following the match, German midfielder Joshua Kimmich asserted that Arsenal was not the most challenging opponent Bayern Munich has encountered this season. He noted that the Bavarian side had previously faced and overcome both Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain.
When asked if Arsenal was the toughest opponent they had faced, Kimmich replied: "No, I don't think so. I believe Paris Saint-Germain was the toughest opponent because of their style of play."
Kimmich elaborated: "Playing against Arsenal is completely different. They rely on set pieces, they like to play long balls, and they are good at fighting for second balls. Against Paris Saint-Germain, we played real football. Against Arsenal, it wasn't football in the true sense; it was closer to game management and individual duels. Arsenal did that very well, and their win was deserved. We have to learn from this match."
