Kompany After 3-1 Defeat: "I Hope to Face Arsenal Again as Soon as Possible"
Bayern Munich suffered their first defeat of the season yesterday, Wednesday, losing 3-1 to English side Arsenal in the UEFA Champions League.
Following the match, Bayern Munich coach Vincent Kompany stated: "I hope to play against them (Arsenal) again as soon as possible. I hope that will be in the latter stages of the competition, learning from this match."
Responding to Mikel Arteta, who declared that his team had defeated the best team in Europe, Kompany replied: "We talked about this three weeks ago when we played against Paris Saint-Germain. They were talking about the same thing. I don't think any of us wants to be the best team in November. We are now trying to use everything to build our season to be present in the important moments."
It is worth noting that after five rounds in the league phase, Arsenal currently leads the standings with 15 points, while Bayern Munich is in third place with 12 points.
