Barcelona Prepares for Post-Lewandowski Era, Harry Kane Top Target

English reports indicate that Barcelona is targeting Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane as a potential replacement for Polish forward Robert Lewandowski. The English player reportedly has a release clause in his contract valued at €65 million.

Barcelona president Joan Laporta is already planning for the upcoming summer transfer window, as Lewandowski's (37) contract is set to expire on June 30, 2026. The club reportedly does not intend to renew his contract due to his age.

The British newspaper "The Guardian" reported this news, stating that "Barcelona has made Harry Kane their primary target to replace Robert Lewandowski." The newspaper not only described Tottenham's historic goalscorer as the "ideal replacement" for Lewandowski but also indicated that Barcelona "may be willing to activate the release clause in Kane's contract with Bayern Munich, which would allow him to leave for £57 million in the summer."

This suggests that Barcelona could acquire Harry Kane for approximately €65 million, a price considered reasonable given the English player's statistics. The 32-year-old, who remains a Bayern Munich striker with a contract extending until 2027, has scored 23 goals and provided three assists in 17 appearances this current season.
