Saudi Arabia-UAE Arab Cup Third-Place Play-off Cancelled Amid Severe Weather

The match between the Saudi Arabian and Emirati national teams, scheduled to determine third and fourth place in the Arab Cup hosted by Qatar, has been cancelled.
Al Kass sports channels network confirmed that the decision to cancel the match was made due to concerns for player safety amid lightning and thunder in Doha on Thursday.
The second half of the game had initially been delayed due to the impact of heavy rainfall on the pitch at Khalifa International Stadium, before the final decision was taken to call off the match entirely.
This cancellation occurred less than an hour and a half before Lusail Stadium is set to host the Arab Cup final between Morocco and Jordan, which is scheduled to kick off at 5:00 PM Moroccan time.
