Santfiet (Mali Coach): "Morocco Among Best Teams in Africa and World, Will Benefit from Home Support at AFCON"
Belgian coach Tom Saintfiet of the Mali national team praised the quality of Morocco's infrastructure and sports facilities, affirming that they provide all the necessary conditions for participating teams to deliver their best performance during the Africa Cup of Nations, scheduled to kick off on December 21.
In a statement to Maghreb Arab Press (MAP), Saintfiet said: "The Kingdom has excellent hotels, good stadiums, and modern sports complexes, which provide all participating teams with the best possible conditions."
He added: "The Moroccan national team will have the advantage as they will play on home soil and benefit from their fans' support. They are also considered among the best teams in Africa and the world."
Regarding Mali's group, the Belgian coach affirmed that the competition is balanced, and all four teams have a chance to qualify, which requires respecting all opponents.
Mali will begin their tournament campaign on December 22 against Zambia at the Mohammed V International Complex in Casablanca, before facing Morocco on December 26 at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Complex in Rabat. They will conclude the first round on December 29 against Comoros, again at Mohammed V.
