UAE Qualify for Arab Cup Semi-Finals, Defeat Algeria 7-6 on Penalties, Set to Face Morocco

The United Arab Emirates national team has qualified for the semi-finals of the Arab Cup after defeating Algeria 7-6 on penalties. The quarter-final match took place this evening, Friday.

The game remained tied for much of regular time, with few clear-cut chances created by either side. However, Algeria broke the deadlock in the 46th minute when Adel Boulbina scored the opening goal.

The UAE managed to equalize in the 64th minute, sending the match into extra time. With no further goals scored during the additional periods, the game proceeded to a penalty shootout, which the UAE won.

The UAE will now prepare for a highly anticipated clash against Morocco in the Arab Cup semi-finals. The match is scheduled for next Monday, kicking off at 3:30 PM (GMT+1).
