Saadane: "Moroccan Fans Must Know We Played a Great Game, Football Only Believes in Winners"

Marouane Saadane, a player for the Moroccan national team B, praised his teammates' performance against Syria (1-0) after securing qualification for the semi-finals of the Arab Cup.

Speaking to Qatar's Al Kass channel, Saadane stated: "Praise be to God. The match was not easy, and knockout games demand greater focus. We made things difficult for ourselves and perhaps weren't responsible enough. We will learn from this match and hope not to repeat the same mistakes in the upcoming fixture."

He continued: "Moroccan fans must know that we delivered a great performance. Sometimes you don't play well and still win, and football ultimately only believes in those who win. The level was excellent. We remained focused and pressed until we scored the goal."

Regarding the semi-final clash against either Algeria or the UAE, Saadane clarified: "First, we wish them good luck, and we are solely focused on ourselves."
