
Morocco Reaches Arab Cup Semi-Finals with 1-0 Victory Over Syria, Awaiting Algeria-UAE Winner
The Moroccan B national team has qualified for the semi-finals of the Arab Cup after overcoming their Syrian counterpart with a 1-0 victory in their quarter-final match on Thursday.
The encounter, held at Khalifa International Stadium in the Qatari capital, Doha, remained goalless for much of the game. The Moroccan side suffered an early setback when Tarik Tissoudali was injured and substituted in the 24th minute.
After the break, Coach Tarik Sektioui's squad finally managed to break down the Syrian defense, with Walid Azarou scoring the decisive goal in the 79th minute.
In the Arab Cup semi-finals, Morocco will face the winner of the match between Algeria and the United Arab Emirates, which is scheduled for tomorrow, Friday, at 18:30 GMT+1.
