Carreras, Carvajal, Endrick Handed Two-Match Bans; Garcia One-Match Suspension After Real Madrid vs. Celta Vigo Incident

The Competition Committee of the Spanish Football Federation has issued its decisions regarding the sanctions imposed on Real Madrid players following multiple dismissals during their recent match against Celta Vigo.

Álvaro Carreras has been suspended for two matches, ruling him out of Real Madrid's remaining league fixtures for 2025. This means he will miss the upcoming clashes against Alavés next Sunday and Sevilla on the 20th of this month.

Carreras's suspension was based on Article 124 of the regulations, citing "contemptuous or disrespectful behavior" towards referee Quintero González. He reportedly told the official, "You are very bad," which led to his second yellow card and subsequent dismissal.

Fran García, however, received only a one-match ban. The referee's report merely noted that he received two yellow cards for standard incidents during play.

The sanctions also included Endrick and Dani Carvajal, both of whom were suspended for two matches. In Endrick's case, he not only protested loudly but also had to be restrained by team officials on the bench, leading to the application of Article 127 of the regulations.

Carvajal's two-match suspension also falls under Article 124. He reportedly addressed referee Quintero González with words that appeared in the match report: "The level you provide and then you cry in press conferences."
