Manchester United continues its discussions with the relevant football federations to retain its three African players: Noussair Mazraoui, Bryan Mbeumo, and Amad Diallo, for the upcoming match against Bournemouth, before they join their national team camps for the Africa Cup of Nations finals.

Ruben Amorim, Manchester United's coach, explained after the Wolverhampton match that the club is engaged in intensive communications with the national teams to postpone the players' call-ups. He stated: "The club is in contact with the relevant federations. Let's wait and see what happens in the middle of this week. I don't have a definitive answer, but there is ongoing dialogue between us, and that is a positive sign."

Amorim hopes to rely on the three players for the Bournemouth clash, scheduled for Monday, December 15, as part of Week 16 of the English Premier League.

The three players were initially expected to depart their clubs on December 8 to join their national teams. However, FIFA, the international football federation, decided to postpone the mandatory release date for players to join their national teams until December 15, in response to requests from several European clubs.

The exact date of Noussair Mazraoui's arrival at the Moroccan national team camp remains uncertain, with no final decision yet on whether he will join the "Atlas Lions" before or after the Bournemouth match.
