Sektioui Concludes Saudi Arabia Match with Defensive-Heavy Squad, No Attackers
Coach Tarik Sektioui, head coach of the Morocco A' national team, concluded the match against Saudi Arabia in the third round of the Arab Cup group stage with a team composed mostly of defenders. This came after a series of substitutions where he focused on strengthening the defensive line and withdrawing all attacking players.
Sektioui made his first substitution in the 70th minute, bringing on left-back Mahmoud Ben Taïk for Amine Zahzouz. He then replaced forward Karim El Berkaoui with right-back Mohamed Moufid.
Sektioui also introduced Ashraf El Mahdioui in place of Walid El Karti to bolster the midfield. He concluded his substitutions by bringing on center-back Marouane El Ouadni for forward Tarik Tissoudali, resulting in a predominantly defensive lineup to finish the match.
Sektioui's tactical adjustments were aimed at preserving his team's one-goal lead. This victory ultimately secured the Moroccan national team the top spot in Group B with seven points.
