Saibari: "No Opponent Can Be Underestimated at World Cup; Brazil Match Will Be Beautiful Due to Both Teams' Technical Football"

Moroccan international Ismael Saibari, a PSV Eindhoven player, commented on the group "the Atlas Lions" were drawn into for the 2026 World Cup, emphasizing the importance of not underestimating any opponent in the tournament.

Speaking to ESPN regarding his readiness to face Brazil at the World Cup, Saibari said: "I think it will be a beautiful match because both national teams come from footballing nations that play technical football, so I'm excited to see how things unfold."

Regarding the possibility of advancing past the group stage, the Eindhoven player explained: "Yes, but it's still the World Cup, and you cannot underestimate any opponent. We've seen many surprises in the past, but we have a good team, and if we can build confidence through the Africa Cup of Nations, then things will go well, God willing."

On the prospect of facing the Netherlands, should the Moroccan national team advance beyond the group stage, Saibari stated: "I knew that after the draw. It will be a beautiful encounter. I will face some of my friends, and we can see who is better."

A journalist jokingly suggested that Saibari could "get revenge" on a teammate who caused him a black eye, should they face the Netherlands. The Moroccan player responded with a smile: "Honestly, it was a minor collision during training, but they exaggerated it more than it deserved. I just posted the picture as a joke and didn't mean anything else."

It is worth noting that the Moroccan national team is in Group C, alongside Brazil, Haiti, and Scotland.
