Ronaldo: "The Match Against Morocco Will Be Difficult"
Brazilian legend Ronaldo Nazario shared his thoughts on his national team's group for the 2026 World Cup finals. Brazil has been drawn alongside Morocco, Scotland, and Haiti.
Ronaldo praised the Moroccan national team, who will be Brazil's first opponent in the tournament. The match is scheduled for June 13 at MetLife Stadium, kicking off at 23:00 (GMT+1). The former Real Madrid star previously faced the Atlas Lions in the 1998 World Cup.
Speaking during the World Cup schedule unveiling ceremony on Saturday evening, Ronaldo stated: "It's a difficult group, and we should be in good shape. The Moroccan national team has been playing very well in the last 5 or 6 years, and in the last World Cup in Qatar, they reached the semi-finals, so it will be a difficult match against them."
Brazil will begin their World Cup campaign against Morocco, followed by matches against Haiti and then Scotland.
