Ancelotti Apologizes to Arsenal After Gabriel's Injury: "We Are Very Sorry... I Hope He Recovers Quickly"
Carlo Ancelotti has apologized after Arsenal defender Gabriel was forced off with an injury during Brazil's friendly match against Senegal, which Brazil won.
Gabriel had to leave the field after an hour of play due to the injury and was replaced by Brazilian full-back Wesley França, who plays for AS Roma.
When asked about Gabriel's injury during the press conference, Ancelotti said, "Serious? I don't know. He had a problem with his adductor muscle, and the medical staff will examine him tomorrow."
He added, "We are very sorry for this, and we are extremely frustrated. When a player gets injured, I hope he can recover well and quickly."
Brazil defeated Senegal 2-0, with goals scored by Estêvão in the 28th minute and Casemiro in the 35th minute, as part of both teams' preparations for the 2026 World Cup.
