Regragui: 'Morocco in Third Consecutive World Cup, Why Not Make History Again?'
National coach Walid Regragui acknowledged the difficulty of replicating the historic achievement the team accomplished at the Qatar World Cup, in the upcoming World Cup to be jointly hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
Speaking to beIN Sports, Regragui said: "Many expected the Moroccan national team to repeat what it did in Qatar, but this is a complex matter. In Qatar, we played as if we were on our home ground and among our fans, whereas in the United States, fans will come to support us."
He continued: "I believe that the competing teams know us well and expect us to repeat the same achievement, which is indeed difficult. However, we are a hard-working team. We are very happy to qualify for the World Cup, and we will compete against top teams like Brazil, and we hope to make our fans happy."
He concluded: "The Moroccan national team will participate in the World Cup for the third time in a row, and we have more experience, but we have great respect for all competitors. Why not make history again in this World Cup?"
It is worth noting that the Moroccan national team has been drawn in Group C alongside Brazil, Haiti, and Scotland.
