National coach Walid Regragui discussed the significant responsibility placed on the Moroccan national team ahead of the Africa Cup of Nations, which the Kingdom will host starting next December.

Regragui's statements came after the Moroccan team's dominant 4-0 victory over Uganda in a friendly match, marking their 18th consecutive win before the continental showpiece begins.

Speaking at the post-match press conference, Regragui stated: "Everyone dreams of participating in the Africa Cup of Nations in their home country. We haven't hosted the tournament since 1988, and we haven't won it since 1976, so we have a great opportunity and a great responsibility at the same time."

He added: "We feel a positive pressure, as all Moroccans are eagerly awaiting the Africa Cup of Nations, whether it's regarding ticket purchases or following the matches. This is a good thing, but we must monitor it so that it doesn't turn negative for us."

Regragui concluded his remarks by saying: "We must transform this pressure into positive energy, to give our all and showcase our true level."
