Regragui: 'We Didn't Let Mozambique Breathe' and Highlights 24-25 Clean Sheets
Walid Regragui praised the defensive solidity of the Moroccan national team after their friendly victory over Mozambique on Friday evening, expressing his satisfaction with the pace set by Brahim Díaz's teammates during the match.
Regragui stated in a media interview after the game: "Thank God, today I was impressed with the tempo we played at. We scored one goal and tried to find a second, creating many opportunities. The most important thing is that we neutralized the opponent's threat; we didn't let them breathe. I don't think they even had a single shot on our goal."
The national coach added: "Unfortunately, today we played without Hakimi and Aguerd. Anass Salah-Eddine played his first match in an enthusiastic atmosphere, in front of a full stadium, which is not an easy feat. Saïss's return brought experience to the field. For a year and a half now, we haven't played with the same defense, yet we have achieved 24 or 25 clean sheets."
