Chipo: Morocco in Balanced World Cup Group, Strong Qualification Chance

Former Moroccan international Youssef Chipo affirmed that the Moroccan national team has a great chance to qualify for the Round of 32, noting that the group in which the “Atlas Lions” were drawn is balanced.

Chipo stated during a special studio appearance on beIN Sports during the 2026 World Cup draw ceremony: “The draw reminded me of the 1998 World Cup. Morocco's group is balanced, and while Brazil is a strong team, we defeated them in a friendly match after the 2022 World Cup.”

He continued: “Morocco has a great chance to be in the second round, God willing, given their experience, their journey, and the level they have reached now.”

It is worth noting that the Moroccan national team was drawn in Group C alongside Brazil, Haiti, and Scotland.
