Bouftini: "A Point is Better Than Nothing" Against Oman, Praises "Warrior" Players
Moroccan national team player Soufiane Bouftini expressed his satisfaction after the 0-0 draw against Oman in the second round of the Arab Cup group stage.
Speaking to Al Kass channels, Bouftini said: "First of all, I would like to thank all the fans who attended today in large numbers and supported us tirelessly throughout the match."
He added: "I know that the match conditions were not easy, and a point is better than nothing, especially in the first half. Up until approximately the 55th minute, we found it difficult to deal with the strong pressure from the opponent, despite not having a player sent off in the first half, but we did not give up and kept playing."
He continued: "At the start of the second half, it was clear that the opponent was trying to press us and exploit opportunities, but our players fought for almost the entire forty-five minutes and were warriors on the field. We tried to press the opponent and exploit counter-attacks, which was our objective with the technical staff."
Bouftini concluded: "Despite missing some chances, especially in the final minutes, such as two opportunities for Walid Azaro and Tarek Tissoudali, praise be to God for everything. Given the current circumstances, we take positive aspects from the match, and we will strive to regain our best performance, reviewing both positive and negative aspects to work on them before the next match, God willing."
