Dhorasoo: Hakimi Will Be Star of 2026 World Cup, Can Lead Morocco to Advanced Stages

Former Paris Saint-Germain and France national team midfielder Vikash Dhorasoo has asserted that Achraf Hakimi will be the most prominent star at the 2026 World Cup. Dhorasoo believes the Parisian club's full-back is capable of leading his national team to advanced stages in the tournament.

Speaking as a guest on the French channel L'Équipe, Dhorasoo expressed his desire for an African team to win the World Cup. "I hope that the continent that wins the World Cup changes this time. The Moroccan national team is very strong," he stated.

Regarding Hakimi, Dhorasoo added, "He should have been among the top three for the Ballon d'Or award. He scored important goals in the Champions League quarter-finals, semi-finals, and final."

He concluded by saying, "To be decisive in this way as a right-back makes him capable of leading his national team to advanced levels."
