RS Berkane player Mounir Chouair expressed his delight following the team's convincing 3-0 victory over Zambian side Power Dynamos in the opening match of the CAF Champions League group stage.

In post-match press statements, Chouair said: "We spoke with the coach, and we knew we had to start the game well, which is what we managed to do. We were able to score early to ensure we controlled the aspects we wanted to implement in the match."

He added: "We wanted to secure the three points, as they are crucial for a good start in the group stage. That's why we are very happy, and we hope to do the same in the next match, presenting the same dynamism and technical control to be even more effective."

He concluded: "We analyzed them and knew they were a strong team in individual duels, relying on long balls. This surprised them a bit, as they didn't create many chances. We managed to prevent them from progressing, while we pushed forward and successfully converted our opportunities. After that, they lost confidence, and that was a decisive factor."
