Enrique on Hakimi's African Ballon d'Or Win: "I don't see him as just a full-back; he does everything, whether in defense or attack."
Paris Saint-Germain coach Luis Enrique commented on his Moroccan player Achraf Hakimi being awarded the African Ballon d'Or for 2025.
Speaking at the press conference ahead of Saturday's match against Le Havre (21:05 GMT+1) in the 13th round of Ligue 1, Enrique said: "Hakimi has delivered a very high level. This is my third year here, and he has always been excellent both offensively and defensively."
He added: "I always joke with him because I don't see him as just a full-back; he does everything. Individual awards are a bit strange; players should first think about being important for the team, and that's what Hakimi does."
Hakimi won the Best Player in Africa award for 2025 last Wednesday, despite being absent from Paris Saint-Germain matches due to a significant injury sustained weeks ago.
