Al-Khelaifi Hails Hakimi: "Achraf is a Leader at PSG and Morocco, Among the Best Players Globally and Undoubtedly the Best African"

Nasser Al-Khelaifi, president of Paris Saint-Germain, expressed his immense pride in Moroccan star Achraf Hakimi, following the latter's crowning as the best African player for 2025 during the ceremony organized by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) in the Moroccan capital, Rabat, on Wednesday evening.

Hakimi secured the award after surpassing Egyptian Mohamed Salah, the Liverpool star and two-time winner (2017 and 2018), in addition to Nigerian Victor Osimhen, Galatasaray's Turkish club player, who previously won it in 2023 when he was a Napoli player.

Al-Khelaifi praised his international defender in statements reported by "Foot Mercato", saying: "For me, Achraf Hakimi is one of the best players in the world, and undoubtedly the best African player."

The Paris Saint-Germain president added: "He is a leader at Paris Saint-Germain and a leader for Morocco; we are all proud of him."
