CAF Awards: Ouzane, Lamlioui, and Chebbak Shortlisted for 2025 Goal of the Year
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has unveiled the shortlist for the 2025 "Goal of the Year" award, featuring 13 goals scored across various CAF competitions between January 6 and October 15 of the current year.
The list notably features a strong Moroccan presence, with nominations for Abdellah Ouzane for his goal in Morocco's match against Tanzania in the U17 Africa Cup of Nations; Oussama Lamlioui, who scored against Madagascar in CHAN 2024; and Ghizlane Chebbak for her goal against Nigeria in the 2024 Women's Africa Cup of Nations.
Public voting will open starting this Thursday and will close on Wednesday, November 12. Fan votes will be the sole determining factor (100%) in selecting the winner of the award.
