Maghreb Fez coach, Pablo Franco, praised his players after their 0-0 draw against AS FAR in matchday 23 of the Professional League.
Speaking at the post-match press conference, Franco affirmed that both teams delivered a strong performance despite the lack of goals. He noted that his side was close to securing a victory against a formidable opponent currently enjoying a successful continental run.
The Spanish coach stated: "We witnessed a strong match between the two teams. AS FAR is performing well and reached the CAF Champions League final. Most people considered them the top favorites to win the championship, and they have reached a high level in a continental competition."
He added: "In the matches we've played against them, we've shown that we are capable of controlling the flow of play and directing the game as we wish, proving that we are a strong team."
"I am very happy with the team and what we have achieved, because we fight a lot," Franco continued. "Over the last six weeks, we have faced several difficulties, in addition to the absence of a number of important players."
Franco further stated: "I am proud of my team, and I thank the fans and everyone who attends the matches and supports us. Thank you all."
He concluded: "We were close to winning against a team that hasn't lost yet. Sometimes, we lacked effectiveness in front of goal."
