Maghreb Fez secured a valuable away victory against hosts Olympique Safi, defeating them 2-1 in a match held today, Monday, as part of Week 22 of the Botola Pro.
MAS opened the scoring in the 47th minute through Soufiane Benjdida, following a strong start to the second half by the Fez team, which successfully converted its dominance into the first goal.
The hosts did not wait long to respond, as Olympique Safi managed to equalize in the 51st minute through Faraji Karmoun from a penalty kick, bringing the match back to square one.
However, Maghreb Fez's response was very swift, as they regained their lead just one minute later, when Saad Ait El Khourssa scored the second goal in the 52nd minute, giving his team the advantage once more.
Maghreb Fez maintained their lead until the end of the match, despite Olympique Safi's attempts to come back, concluding the game with a valuable away win for the Fez side.
With this victory, Maghreb Fez temporarily climbed to the top of the Botola Pro standings with 44 points, while Olympique Safi's tally remained frozen at 15 points in last place, continuing their struggles at the bottom of the table.
