Perez Rejects Real Madrid Privatization Claims, Affirms Member Ownership

Real Madrid President Florentino Perez has emphatically denied claims regarding the potential privatization of the club, asserting in an official video that the entity will remain solely owned by its members. The club president indicated that these accusations, made by candidate Enrique Riquelme, aim to mislead fans and sow discord within the Royal Club, emphasizing that the slogan "Real Madrid is not for sale" represents the unwavering truth of the entity's future.

Perez clarified that the current organizational structure, which includes the President, Board of Directors, and General Assembly of Delegates, will remain unchanged. He stated, "Whoever promoted this issue either does not understand the truth or does not want you to know it, because what we intend to do is exactly the opposite; the club will continue to be owned by its members." In this regard, he affirmed that all fundamental matters will be managed as usual to ensure the stability of the institution, which holds its elections periodically every four years.

These statements come in response to the campaign of rival candidate Enrique Riquelme, who has made protecting the club from sale the primary point of his electoral program, claiming his participation in the race aims to halt any future privatization plans. While the rival candidate insists his candidacy is essential to ensure the club's allegiance to its partners, Perez views these allegations as baseless and solely intended to disrupt the stability of the current administration.
