Spanish newspaper AS reported that the Royal Club is seriously considering signing the 27-year-old Konate, who will become a free agent after his departure from Liverpool was announced following the expiration of his contract on June 30, making him available on a free transfer this summer.

Real Madrid faces a genuine crisis in its backline due to numerous injuries affecting key players such as Dani Carvajal, Eder Militao, and Antonio Rüdiger, in addition to the departure of David Alaba. This situation has prompted the management to seek urgent reinforcements, potentially involving several defensive signings in the same transfer window.
