
Real Madrid Defeats Espanyol (2-0), Delays Barcelona's La Liga Title Celebration
Real Madrid secured a two-goal victory over hosts Espanyol in a match played at the "El Prat" stadium, as part of Week 34 of the Spanish La Liga.
The match saw Moroccan players Omar El Hilali and Brahim Diaz feature as starters for Espanyol and Real Madrid, respectively.
The first half ended goalless despite several attempts from both sides. In the second half, Real Madrid intensified their efforts to secure a win, which came courtesy of Vinicius, who scored two goals in the 55th and 66th minutes.
With this result, Real Madrid managed to postpone Barcelona's La Liga title celebrations, maintaining an 11-point gap between the two teams with four rounds remaining in the season.
It is worth noting that Barcelona and Real Madrid are set to face each other in the next round of the Spanish League, with "El Clásico" taking place at the "Camp Nou" stadium on Sunday, May 10th (20:00 GMT+1).
