In a Surprise Move, Real Madrid Reassigns Tiago Pitarh to Reserve Team "Castilla"
Real Madrid has seen a surprising development regarding young player Tiago Pitarh (18), who had established himself in recent months as a regular option for coach Álvaro Arbeloa's Juvenil A team, whether due to confidence in his talent or the team's needs.
Despite his increasing presence with the Juvenil A team, the club decided to include Pitarh today, Tuesday, with Real Madrid Castilla for their UEFA Youth League semi-final match against Dinamo Zagreb.
This marks Pitarh's first appearance with the reserve team in nearly two months; his last match with Castilla was on February 8 against Pontevedra in the Spanish Primera Federación.
The player made his official debut with Arbeloa's Juvenil A team in mid-February, during the UEFA Youth League playoff match against Benfica. Since then, he has participated in 12 matches across both the UEFA Youth League and the Spanish youth league.
He also played his last match as a starter last Friday against Real Betis at the "La Cartuja" stadium, making his return to the Castilla squad seem unexpected.
The question remains whether this appearance with the reserve team is merely a temporary stop or a more significant step in the young player's trajectory within the Royal Club.
