Egypt's Zamalek team has qualified for the African Confederation Cup final after a 0-0 draw against Algeria's CR Belouizdad, benefiting from their first-leg victory. The match took place today, Friday, as part of the second leg of the continental championship semi-final.
The game, hosted at Cairo International Stadium, saw dominant play from Zamalek but no goals were scored. Moroccan player Mahmoud Bentayg started for Zamalek in the encounter.
Zamalek had secured a 1-0 victory in the first leg, played last Friday at Nelson Mandela Stadium, with the lone goal scored by Brazilian Juan Bezerra.
Zamalek will face the winner of the clash between Morocco's Olympique Safi and Algeria's USM Alger in the final. That semi-final match is scheduled for this coming Sunday, starting at 8:00 PM (GMT+1).
