Stuttgart Exercises Buy Option for El Khannouss from Leicester City in €15m Deal, Contract Until 2030
German club VfB Stuttgart has permanently activated the buy option for Moroccan international Bilal El Khannouss from English side Leicester City, following a successful loan spell.
The club's sporting director, Fabian Wohlgemuth, confirmed that the team's management exercised the purchase clause included in the loan agreement. He noted that all contractual conditions had been met and expressed his delight at securing the player's permanent stay.
German newspaper "Bild" revealed that the deal is valued at approximately 15 million euros, with a contract extending until 2030. This move reflects the club's confidence in the Moroccan player's abilities.
The decision to purchase El Khannouss's contract comes after his outstanding performances this season with Stuttgart, where he scored 8 goals and provided 6 assists in 36 appearances across all competitions.
The player had recently joined the Moroccan national team camp in preparation for friendly matches against Ecuador and Paraguay on March 27 and 31.
