Wydad AC Officially Appoints Patrice Carteron as New Coach, Confirming Previous Reports
Wydad AC officially announced on Tuesday evening the appointment of French coach Patrice Carteron as the new head coach for the 'Red Team', succeeding Amin Benhachem. This move confirms earlier reports by "Al-Botola".
A statement released by Wydad AC read: "Wydad Athletic Club wishes to inform its loyal fans and all club members that it has signed a contract with French coach Patrice Carteron to oversee the training of the first team during the upcoming period."
The statement added: "Wydad Athletic Club welcomes Mr. Patrice Carteron, wishing him all success in his duties at the helm of the team's technical staff. To wear the Wydad jersey is an honor; to give your all for it is a duty."
Carteron's appointment follows Wydad AC's separation from Benhachem, which occurred immediately after the team's elimination from the CAF Confederation Cup quarter-finals against Olympic Safi.
